Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to join our team who will support the implementation and oversight of a large-scale, multi-year construction project on behalf of our client. As a key member of the Owner's Representative team, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Lead to ensure the owner's interests and vision are implemented throughout the construction process - guiding design decisions and construction activities throughout all phases of construction to ensure every choice reflects the project’s original intent.

The ideal Project Coordinator should:
Be a proactive communicator and collaborator
Possess sharp organizational skills
Be detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
Have a proven track record of problem-solving, risk identification and monitoring
Have experience with budget tracking and cost control
At least 3-5 years of related experience
Duties & Responsibilities
Represent the owner’s interests — support the Project Manager in advocating for client priorities at every stage.
Review project documentation — assist with evaluating drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders to confirm accuracy and alignment with scope.
Track schedules, budgets, and quality — monitor milestones, expenditures, and QA/QC metrics to keep the project on time, on budget, and up to standard.
Coordinate & document communication — coordinate communication and manage communication tools between our team, architects, contractors, consultants, and other parties as required to ensure information flows smoothly and is clearly organized and documented.
Conduct field engagement — participate in site visits, document observations, and organize regular progress meetings.
Maintain rigorous records — manage document control systems, update logs and reports, and ensure reliable audit trails.
Ensure compliance — verify adherence to contractual requirements.
Administer payments — process contractor payment applications and track expenditures against approved budgets.
Document risk — help spot emerging issues, log them in the risk register, and coordinate timely resolution.
Other duties as required - support implementation of lean tools and techniques throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
3-5 years of project coordination or management experience, with minimum 3 years in construction-related projects
Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
Experience with project delivery and coordination
Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite
Strong communication and organizational skills
CAPM certification preferred
Familiarity with Lean Construction techniques preferred, strong interest in learning and applying Lean Construction required
Position Type
Hourly contract position until the completion of the project, scheduled for Summer 2028. Anticipate minimum of 20 hours per week until Construction begins (Spring 2026), full time once construction begins (32-40 hours/week). Possibility of transition to full-time salaried and permanent position.
Compensation & Benefits
$36-$60/hr, potential to transition to annual salaried

Remote work with Owner's representative team
On-site presence at construction location may be required on a monthly basis. Current projects are located in BC and Yukon
Some flexibility in work hours required to accommodate project schedules
